This post was suppose to be up in September…but I was struggling with how to upload this video haha. I am NOT tech savy. Anyways it’s here 🙂 If you’ve been following me along this summer, you may have noticed my 11 STUNNING Spokesmodels!
Last spring I was looking for some fun, down to earth, gals to represent my photography business! I selected an incredible group of eleven girls [five aren’t pictures here sadly] and have been so grateful for each and every single one of them!! I was inspired by other photographers who have Spokesmodels – a team of gals who represent their business. After researching into it, I realized that all the photographers did this for only high school seniors. I knew that I wanted to branch out, so I opened applications up to gals who were incoming freshmen to graduated seniors. In doing so, my goal was to have the older gals pour into the younger gals, so they look up to someone and learn from someone! I also valued being purposeful when developing my team. I was eager to grow my business while building community, creating friendships and having fun! So, I created an application process and from there created a team of gals who would represent my brand.
It was such a joy to get to know these gals and their hearts! Our shoots were always filled with lots of laughs, and they were champs for exploring around Austin [and getting kicked out of] places in the Texas heat. So thankful for such a fun summer and my crew!!!!! Also a HUGE thanks to my lovely college and high school interns for helping me plan and organize shoots, and to the parents of these AMAZING girls!!!!

ABOUT THE SPOKESMODEL PROGRAM:
WHAT WAS THE APPLICATION PROCESS LIKE? I had the gals fill out an online forum to learn a little bit more about them and why they wanted to be a part of the program. The applications were available for about eight weeks. Looking back, I would have made it shorter. I had them pay an upfront fee by a deadline along with a contract and parent consent form.
WHAT WERE SOME PERKS OF BEING A SPOKESMODEL? My Spokesmodels received three shoots and one group shoot, attended a summer rooftop pool party at The W Hotel, created new friendships, got to get glammed up for shoots feel beautiful!
WHAT WERE SOME THINGS YOU LEARNED? Asking for help! I love being in control, but knew I would be SO overwhelmed if I did it all on my own. I was suuuper grateful to have a team of interns during this whole process. (You can meet my summer team here. ) They helped me prepare for the shoots, helped with planning the party and the group shoots! I am so grateful they served along my side because they were such a huge help! Look how cute my summer team is you guys!! (see below!)
