  • Hi 👋🏻 I’ve let fear hold me back on a lot of things in life. I was scared to get married. Then got married three months after college to the best Mann in the WORLD. Marriage is the best. (10/10 recommend.) I was scared to start my photography bizz. But then got the courage to do so thanks to my supportive husband, family and friends. . . And for so long I wanted to start a YouTube channel sharing my failures and successes with other aspiring photographers out there. I made up about every excuse I could think of to NOT do it: I don’t have time, I don’t have the right equipment or editing software, I don’t have a big following, no one is going to watch it, etc etc etc. . . I realized I was back in this trap of letting my fears holding me captive and decided, if I don’t do it now, I probably won’t ever. So alllll dis to say today I WENT FOR IT!   • My favorite thing about working with girl bosses (well women in general) is that they are fearless. I love being able to encourage them, be inspired by them & hear their dreams for their businesses. I met this sweet gal pal of mine on Insta and it feels like we have known each other forever!   • The biggest thing I wish I focused on during my high school [and college] career was not to worry so much about what other people thought of me. For YEARS I became overwhelmed with trying so hard to please people so they would like me and to be more worthy. . . I desperately wanted everyone to like me- friends (and the fellas) and I tried really hard to do everything in my power to earn that stamp of approval. But most of the time, I messed up. I would beat myself up for not being this “perfect human” but truth is, I’ll never be perfect. I’m full of sin and mistakes and failures. But I’m NOT defined by my failures. And neither are YOU. . . I’m learning to let go of shame, fear, doubt and anxiety and to love myself and others better. . . So this just a little reminder that YOU are worth it and you are enough. You don’t need approval or validation from anyone else. ✨
  • Body shaming is a real thing and not just for curvy girls (or guys) but just about anyone who doesn’t meet society idealistic (and unrealistic) expectations. I’ve been petite my whole life. I’ve had some really not so great things said about me, to my face and behind my back. And both hurt. Some of those awful things still taunt me and make me insecure. People thought I had an eating disorder because I was so thin, but that was just my body!!! God made our bodies all different and unique. One body isn’t better, more pretty, or more worthy of another. God made every curve, wrinkle, dimple, etc and said their is no flaw in you and that we’ve been fearfully and wonderfully made. . . So the next time you wish _______ about your body, stop. And the next time you’re thinking about bashing someone else’s body because they don’t “look” like how you “think” they should, stop it! Because they’re made how God created and wanted them to be. If we saw ourselves the same way the Creator of the universe sees us, we would see everyone as beautiful. We would stop looking at their outer appearance and start looking at their hearts. . . Our words carry depth, let’s not make them the reason someone is insecure about how they were created. Let’s strive to see beauty all around us and be careful with the words we choose to speak over our bodies and other’s. You were made perfectly and purposefully. . . Tag a friend who needs this reminder & comment below something that ya love about yo fine self👇🏼✨
  • yesterday i had a shoot with this beautiful human from 5-7:30pm then came home and immediately started to edit them and delivered them by midnight because i was so excited! same day delivery?! 😆 also all caught up on editing so I was like WHY NOT?! — today’s plans: client meetings, church, brunch, NAP & tidy up our apt. WILD WEEKEND OF ADULTING YOU GUYS!! also working on a Lightroom Tutorial of how I edited these photos and should be up Tuesday for my #TuesdayTutorials 🤘🏼
